The National Regulatory Authority in the field of technical supervision - State Agency for Metrological and Technical Supervision (SAMTS), officially announced the start of a large-scale control campaign called "Safe Summer 2025".
Inspectors from the Main Market Surveillance Directorate will conduct checks in commercial establishments throughout the country from July 1 to 30, 2025. The campaign's focus is on two main product segments: children's play equipment and transportable pressure equipment.
Special emphasis will be placed on pendulum-type children's swings intended for children under three years old, and gas bottles with cartridges. Inspectors will monitor strict compliance with regulatory requirements specified in several key normative documents.
During the inspection of children's equipment, experts will pay attention to several critical aspects: presence of safety elements, mandatory "CE" marking, complete manufacturer information, usage instructions, and age restrictions.
Statistics from the previous year show serious challenges in the field of child safety. In 2024, out of 309 checked toys, 19 were found to have various non-conformities, including lack of marking, incomplete information, and absence of warning texts.
Regarding gas equipment, inspectors will check for the specific "π" marking and accompanying certificates of conformity. An additional priority will be raising consumer awareness about the proper storage and operation of gas bottles.
When violations are identified, control authorities are ready to take legal actions guaranteeing maximum protection of consumer interests and public safety.
