Bulgarian politicians need to learn before elections to say what they will do afterwards, and if they start talking before the elections, not to do something else after them, said in Varna the leader of the BSP, Krum Zarkov, after the registration of the list of the “BSP – United Left” coalition in the Regional Election Commission.
Zarkov called on the other parties during the campaign to enter into a meaningful debate, to talk about policies. According to him, this will make it easier for Bulgarians to make their choice, and for politicians – to form a sustainable, honest and competent government of the country.
We, the socialists, are entering the campaign with a very clear left-wing program, which we will defend, added the chairman of the BSP and pointed out that they will not avoid or deflect any invitation to a conversation. According to him, an impossible partnership for the coalition is only with those who support the oligarchic mafia status quo. With all those who identify this as a key problem, there is a good basis for conversation, Zarkov pointed out. He added that the BSP is ready to partner with both parties and civil movements that defend socially significant causes, but always under clear rules and in conditions of transparency and equality. The BSP campaign will revolve around the quality of life of Bulgarian citizens, their access to education, healthcare, justice, the party leader added. Zarkov said that the coalition will be represented in the future parliament. According to him, this confidence gives him the trend towards growth after the radical change in the party itself.
If we politicians do our job, if we enter into a meaningful debate, show that we are not fighting for some seats, but have a vision, ideas, even disagreements, this will make politics more attractive, Zarkov also said. According to him, this would make more Bulgarians think, and that would lead them to a decision to vote.
