Bulgaria's energy regulator KEVR has set how much households will get back in August compensation for their electricity bills, Diana Marinova reports.

The money covers part of the cost suppliers pay when they buy power at market prices while charging households a fixed rate.

Customers of Elektrohold will get about 24 euros per megawatt-hour, while those with EVN and Energo-Pro will get around 25 euros. Customers of ESP Zlatni Pyasatsi will get the most — nearly 59 euros per megawatt-hour.

The money comes from the Electricity System Security Fund.

The compensation is already included in the bills customers have received.
