AI solutions accelerate diagnoses, increase screening accuracy, optimize resources, and enable proactive prevention in Bulgarian hospitals

The introduction of artificial intelligence in diagnostics marks a huge step forward in Bulgarian healthcare. AI systems are becoming increasingly key in reading imaging studies, analyzing genetic samples, and rapidly detecting oncological, cardiovascular, and metabolic risks.

Leading hospitals and diagnostic centers are already using automated algorithms to process X-ray, MRI, and CT images that recognize minimal deviations. This allows for early intervention in carcinomas, strokes, malformations – the accuracy of AI tools in some cases reaches 94-97%, according to published medical analyses.

The data shows that the introduction of AI accelerates pathological analysis 5 to 8 times, reduces the need for repeated examinations, and refines diagnoses in complex clinical cases. Doctors, supported by AI, can quickly plan personalized treatment, which leads to better survival and shorter hospital stays.

AI-based solutions are also entering genetic tests and microbiome analysis, allowing automatic comparison of thousands of genes simultaneously. Thus, "health profiles of the future" are created – patients receive not only a diagnosis, but also a preventive program, and health insurers begin to require digital records for risk groups.

"Artificial intelligence does not replace the doctor, but turns medicine into a more secure science and provides new horizons for prevention, precise treatment and national health planning programs," experts in the sector are categorical.
