Engineer Rumen Yankov is the new Executive Director of TPP Maritsa Iztok 2

New appointment in the energy sector

Eng. Rumen Yankov has been elected as Executive Director of "TPP Maritsa Iztok 2" EAD, the company officially announced. The leadership change follows a decision by the Board of Directors of "Bulgarian Energy Holding" (BEH) EAD, which resulted in a complete change in the composition of the power plant's Board of Directors.

"Eng. Rumen Yankov has 20 years of professional experience in the energy sector, 18 of which have been spent in thermal power plants."

Management changes

The new composition of the Board of Directors includes Eng. Georgi Borisov, Eng. Rumen Yankov, Tihomir Tochev, Yanko Topalov, and Dian Ivanov. They replace the previous members Boncho Bonev, Diyan Dimitrov, Hristo Ivanov, Boyan Boev, and Martin Martinov. At its first meeting, the new board elected Eng. Georgi Borisov as Chairman and Eng. Rumen Yankov as Executive Director.

Who is Eng. Rumen Yankov?

• Master's degree in "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment" from TU-Sofia.
• 20 years of professional experience in the sector.
• Accumulated experience: 18 years in TPP and 2 years in HPP.
