Ina Ivanova and Diana Savateva read poetry to a full hall at the Sea Casino Cultural Centre in Burgas on Saturday, 17 October, Burgas council said.
On Thursday, organisers said the evening would be held in the Georgi Baev hall and would start at 6.30pm.
What happened before: Ina Ivanova and Diana Savateva read poems at „Sea Casino“ in Burgas on 17 October
It was the latest "Poetic Replies" event and part of the 30th anniversary Autumn Literary Festival. The evening was called "Untouched Worlds and Bright Apocalypses" and centred on Ivanova's "Intact World". The book is on the shortlist for the national Pero literary awards in the poetry category. Ivanova also holds the national Hristo Fotev poetry prize for "The Things We Keep Silent About".
The programme, announced by the council, included a talk with the audience and poems by both authors, among them new poems by Savateva. They spoke about memory and love, human sensitivity and the unseen ties between people.
Savateva said Ivanova's poems look both at the world around us and at a person's inner world, and stress detail in experience.
Two young actresses also read poems: a Burgas native who studies at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFIZ), and an actress from Haskovo who graduated from the Lyuben Groys Theatre College.
Five students of the Prof. Pancho Vladigerov National School of Music and Performing Arts played: Antonia Kondeva on bassoon, Elena Ivanova on flute, Ulyana Nelyubova on clarinet, and Bran Chakarov and Ivan Prokopenko on oboe. Their teachers are Dimitar Madzharov, Krasimira Krasteva, Hristo Todorov and Yoana Vangelova.
Lilian Petkova, a pupil of Michelle Dean who studies jazz and pop singing, sang. A dancer from the Dune dance school performed, with choreography by Petya Stoykova.
The Burgas writers' community and Burgas council organise the festival. Its programme runs to the end of October and includes meetings with Bulgarian poets and writers, book launches and literary talks.
