Safety and security in the Black Sea before the start of the tourist season
Vice President Iliana Iotova described the case of the Ukrainian sea drone that exploded in the port of the Romanian city of Constanta as an "incident." According to her, the reaction of the Bulgarian authorities was timely and adequate.
This was an incident, and I hope it remains just that, because an active tourist season is ahead, and we are responsible for ensuring it goes as well as possible for Bulgaria, said Iotova.
Coordination between institutions
- Close connection with the Ministry of Defense.
- Operational communication with Romanian services.
- Cooperation with the Ukrainian side.
Iotova emphasized that the swift reaction of the responsible institutions prevented any danger to Bulgarian citizens. The comment was made during the conference "Towards Shared Regional Security for Peace, Stability and Cooperation in the Balkans and the Black Sea".
