Disabled adults at a day centre in Nessebar met the crew of TV show "Brigada Nov Dom" while they filmed an episode in the town, the town's council said. Centre members gave the crew gifts they had made themselves during their sessions.

With help from a local partner, the group also rode the tourist train along the Nessebar coast. The council said the trip let centre users get out and do something away from their usual surroundings.

At the day centre, people learn to communicate, pick up new skills and take part in community life. The council says this helps them build their abilities, become more independent and keep up social contacts.

Both events are part of Nessebar council's social policy. Officials said they want support to be easy to reach so disabled people can take a full part in community life.

The council said it plans to keep expanding social services in Nessebar.
