The drone remains discovered so far along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast do not contain munitions, Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov stated. According to him, these are primarily reconnaissance drones and "decoy" drones that are carried to our coastline by sea currents following active military operations in the areas of Odesa and Izmail.

Despite the absence of explosives, Stoyanov issued a firm warning to residents of coastal municipalities: "Wherever they see such a drone that has washed up on the beach, safety measures must be taken, and they must stay as far away from these drones as possible." The minister noted that specialized units are surveying the finds, but teams must finish one task before moving on to the next due to the scattered nature of the objects.

The origin of the devices is mixed – most are Russian, but there are also Ukrainian ones among them, while for other parts such as wings or tails, identification is impossible. The minister clarified that these cases are fundamentally different from the incident involving the drone that crashed near Kardam, for which there is still no response from the Ukrainian side. The case remains under the jurisdiction of the Military Prosecutor's Office in Sliven.

Regarding the "drone wall" idea currently being discussed in Europe, Stoyanov expressed skepticism. He emphasized that such a concept is practically impossible to implement, as anti-drone systems have a limited range and do not allow for comprehensive coverage of the state border. According to him, protection should be implemented through methods similar to those of air defense.
