The State Enterprise "Industrial Zones" demonstrates an ambitious investment strategy aimed at transforming industrial infrastructure in Bulgaria. Financial results for 2024 show a profit of 646,000 leva, with expectations of significant growth in the current year.
A key project of the company is the creation of a Regional Center for Digital Solutions and Innovation in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park. The investment in digital infrastructure amounts to an impressive 6 million leva, highlighting the commitment to modernization and technological development.
Deputy Minister Nevena Lazarova emphasized the organization's strategic priorities - attracting investments in areas such as information technology, aviation, pharmaceuticals, and high-tech manufacturing. The main focus is achieving maximum operational efficiency and transparency in public resource management.
Interest in industrial zones is international, with companies from Germany, Italy, Spain, and Turkey among the most active potential investors. Since the beginning of the year, two Bulgarian companies have been attracted with an investment volume of 3.8 million leva in the logistics sector.
Four foreign companies' projects are in an advanced stage with a total investment value of around 26 million leva. These include production of nutritional supplements, archives, high-tech products, and warehouse facilities.
Developing industrial zones in less industrialized regions are of particular interest. Projects in Vidin, Karlovo, Pleven, and Kardzhali are viewed as strategic opportunities for economic development. The advantage of these locations is the availability of free land and good infrastructure connectivity.
The Dobroslavtsi zone, located on a former military airfield, is considered a promising location for the development of automotive engineering, aviation industry, and high-tech manufacturing. The Sofia-West Park is positioned as a potential innovation cluster focusing on electronics, automation, and green technologies.
Three new industrial zones in the process of development - in Kardzhali, Karlovo, and Suvorovo - aim to attract investments from strategic destinations. There is already expressed interest from Turkish companies for building warehouse facilities and production capacities.
The National Company "Industrial Zones" is actively working to improve infrastructure, conducting negotiations with local and international institutions. The main goal is to create modern, technologically oriented industrial spaces that will attract significant investments in the Bulgarian economy.
