Digital revolution in seaports

Bulgarian seaports are moving to an entirely new standard in information processing. The government has officially adopted a decree regulating the introduction of the National Port Community System (PCS).

This step will lead to a significant simplification of administrative procedures and will automate key logistical processes in the transport sector.

Key advantages of the system:

  • Single submission principle: Information is submitted only once, which eliminates data duplication.
  • Security and efficiency: Ensures secure data exchange between government authorities, port operators, and businesses.
  • Automation: Optimization of border, customs, health, and phytosanitary control.

The system was developed by the State Enterprise "Port Infrastructure" with funding from the Operational Program "Transport and Transport Infrastructure" 2014-2020. The changes are expected to lead to more efficient border control and faster processing of cargo and goods.
