In Marriage Week, a family from Burgas is celebrating their Diamond Wedding. Tsoni and Radka Ivanovi have been together since 1966. On February 13, 60 years ago, the two said their vows and have been together ever since.

He was a driver for many years, and she was an employee at the Oil Refinery. Currently, 83-year-old Tsoni and 78-year-old Radka live in the "Banevo" district. They are happy with 3 children, 4 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They gladly say that they are also expecting their fourth great-grandchild. The two are in good health and gladly welcomed a team from Burgas Municipality, who congratulated them on their long life together.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov also honored the Ivanovi family with a congratulatory address, a bottle of wine and a cake.

"May your family life give wisdom to the younger generations on how to get through life's trials hand in hand and to value every moment they are together. May your formula for a long family life continue to support you in the future, so that you can delight your loved ones with your presence. Because love and affection are the true measure of the significance of human life," commented the Burgas mayor in his congratulations.

Marriage Week is celebrated from February 7 to 14 all over the world, and by tradition, Burgas also participates in the initiative. The aim of the Week is to encourage married couples to build successful and sustainable relationships, by uniting the efforts of society in support of marriage and the family. 

The initiative celebrates the key values of unity, dedication, love and the strong bond cemented by the marriage between two people, on whom the connection in our communities is based.
