Nine new members of parliament from "Progressive Bulgaria" have taken office, replacing ministers from the regular government. See who the new faces in parliament are.

New deputies enter Parliament following the formation of the cabinet

Nine new members of parliament from "Progressive Bulgaria" took the oath of office at the beginning of today's plenary session. The reshuffle is necessary after their predecessors took up positions as Prime Minister and ministers in the country's new regular government.

The President of the National Assembly, Mihaela Dotsova, congratulated the newly elected deputies and wished them fruitful work in the name of society.

The changes stem from the election of the Prime Minister and cabinet on May 8, after which the new government took office at an official ceremony. The new members of parliament are:

  • Alexandra Pavlova Angelakova (25th Multi-member constituency – Sofia) – replaces Rumen Radev;
  • Vaska Alexandrova Milusheva (13th Multi-member constituency – Pazardzhik) – replaces Galab Donev;
  • Momchil Bonchev Petrov (27th Multi-member constituency – Stara Zagora) – replaces Alexander Pulev;
  • Emine Fikri Gyulestan (9th Multi-member constituency – Kardzhali) – replaces Ivan Demerdzhiev;
  • Tefik Ahmedov Parafitov (29th Multi-member constituency – Haskovo) – replaces Dimitar Stoyanov;
  • Stela Nikolaeva Ilieva (6th Multi-member constituency – Vratsa) – replaces Ivan Shishkov;
  • Georgi Valeriev Kunchev (1st Multi-member constituency – Blagoevgrad) – replaces Rositsa Karamfilova-Blagova;
  • Julian Georgiev Dimitrov (3rd Multi-member constituency – Varna) – replaces Ilin Dimitrov;
  • Mirena Nikolaeva Gugleva-Ivanova (31st Multi-member constituency – Yambol) – replaces Encho Keryazov.

The deputies will perform their functions for the period during which the incumbents hold executive positions in the Council of Ministers.
