The fifteenth edition of the Summer Children's Police Academy in Veliko Tarnovo brought together representatives from various institutions to familiarize young people with basic safety and prevention rules.

In an age-diverse event in the village of Balvan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Toni Todorov officially opened the latest edition of the Summer Children's Police Academy, which aims to build a preventive culture among young people.

The initiative, organized jointly with the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Veliko Tarnovo, offers an innovative approach to introducing children to challenges in public life. Participants receive practical knowledge about dealing with aggression, traffic rules, recognizing risky situations, and consequences of using prohibited substances.

"Today we are united as one big family, concerned about the upbringing of the younger generation," Todorov emphasized during the official opening. He thanked all co-organizers for the time and efforts spent in the name of education and security.

The program included various demonstration activities that directly engaged the children. The children observed specialized police and firefighting equipment, watched the detention of a conditional drug distributor with the help of a police dog, participated in fire extinguishing and rescue operation simulations.

Among the official guests were high-ranking officials from various state institutions, including Chief Commissioner Alexander Djartov, Director of the Main Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection", Nikolay Nikolov - advisor to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Senior Commissioner Dimitar Mashov from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Veliko Tarnovo, and Senior Commissioner Krasimir Krastev, head of the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection.

At the end of the ceremony, the children received symbolic gifts on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs Daniel Mitov, which further motivated the academy participants to continue developing their knowledge and skills for personal and public safety.
