A tragic road incident that unfolded in the heart of the Pobeda neighborhood in Burgas left the local community in shock and served as a reminder of life's fragility. A four-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a car driven by a young driver. The incident, which occurred on the late afternoon of August 29, caused a wave of anxiety among the residents who gathered at the scene. Many of them were visibly shaken by what happened, as law enforcement began their investigation.

The incident was registered around 5:40 p.m. on Osogovo St. No. 22. According to initial information from the investigating authorities, the young 21-year-old driver was performing a reverse maneuver when he hit the boy. The child, who is from the same neighborhood, was immediately transported to UMBAL-Burgas by his relatives, who reacted instantly. Fortunately, according to information from the hospital, he arrived conscious and in a state of contact, which gives hope for a quick recovery.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the driver's initial checks showed that he had not consumed alcohol or drugs. His tests were negative, which rules out one of the most common factors for such accidents.

An inspection was carried out at the scene of the accident, and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated to clarify all the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
