Denitsa Sacheva, Deputy Chair of the GERB-SDS parliamentary group, in the show "Why, Mr. Minister?" on BTV, commented on the topic of the upcoming caretaker prime ministers and elections.

Raya Nazaryan and the caretaker Prime Minister: Sacheva emphasized that Raya Nazaryan will not accept the position of caretaker prime minister, as this is a political decision of GERB. The argument is that the Speaker of the National Assembly, as a political figure, cannot guarantee impartiality in the organization of the elections.

Reasons for the government's failure: Sacheva pointed to the government's over-ambition and the opposition's hyper-populism as the main factors for the failure. She also noted the negatives of frequent elections.

Elections and political projects: Sacheva commented that GERB is not afraid of new elections, nor of a possible political project of President Rumen Radev. She expressed the opinion that it is unlikely the president will get a full majority in the elections.

Election Code and budget: Sacheva shared that the Election Code was adopted on first reading, with GERB supporting the texts related to counting machines and preserving paper voting, but with machine counting. She criticized the lack of a regular budget and the consequences of this, including delays in salary increases.

Relations in the coalition: Sacheva noted that the coalition was difficult, with GERB being the "glue" between the different entities and bearing the greatest negatives.
