Rain will fall along the southern Black Sea coast, including Burgas, on Tuesday, with heavy cloud cover. The northeast wind will be moderate, picking up at times.

Cloud will cover most of Bulgaria except the northwest, with rain mainly in the southeast. The wind will blow from the north-northeast, moderate, picking up at times in the east.

Along the coast, morning temperatures will read 14-15 degrees, rising to 19-21 in the afternoon. The sea will be 20-22 degrees, with waves of 3-4 on the Beaufort scale.

Morning temperatures across the country will range from 7 to 13 degrees, with afternoon highs of 18 to 25. In Sofia, expect around 8 degrees in the morning and about 18 in the afternoon.

Heavy cloud will cover the mountains, with light rain in places and snow above 2,000 metres. At 1,200 metres, the high will be around 11 degrees; at 2,000 metres, around 5. The wind there will also blow from the northeast, moderate with strong gusts at times.

Over the next few days, western and central Bulgaria will see sunshine and light winds. In the east, cloud will ease for a while before building up again, often heavy, with rain mainly in the far east and a moderate to strong north wind.

After Thursday, temperatures will drop across most of the country. Lows will range from 2-3 degrees in the valleys of western and central Bulgaria to around 15 on the coast, with highs of 16 to 21.
