On 05.05.2026 (Tuesday) at 10:30 AM, at the sculptural composition of Saint George the Victorious (near the "St. George" Monastery), a solemn celebration will be held on the occasion of several significant historical dates.

Significant Holidays and Anniversaries

The event brings together the celebration of:

  • The anniversary of the creation of the Bulgarian Army;
  • Day of Bravery;
  • 140 years since the creation of the Burgas Military District, which includes the Burgas, Aytos, Karnobat, and Ankhial districts.
The ritual is organized by the Municipality of Pomorie, the Flotilla of Combat and Auxiliary Ships, the Naval Base - Burgas, and the Burgas Military District.

Program of the Solemn Ritual

Various cultural and military groups will participate in the holiday, bringing life to the ceremony:

  • Burgas Municipal Brass Band conducted by Anastas Kamilarov;
  • Guards from SU "Ivan Vazov";
  • Dance group at OU "Hristo Botev" under the leadership of Veliana Dacheva;
  • "Rakovina" Children's Folklore Dance Ensemble led by Vladimir Danailov.

Religious and Official Part

The celebration will conclude with a profound spiritual part. Wreaths will be laid at the sculptural composition of Saint George the Victorious for the heroes who fell for the motherland. Additionally, a thanksgiving prayer will be performed for the health of the Bulgarian military, for the residents of Pomorie, and for the prosperity of the city.
