The plan is for a football-specific stadium, inspired by English models, with no athletic track and a total capacity of 6,500 spectators. Two main stands with 2,500 seats each and a 1,500-seat visitors’ section are envisioned. The design will include marine-themed elements to reduce wind and a futuristic canopy reflecting Burgas’s coastal character.
Though the site has sparked debate, it was carefully selected five years ago for its accessibility and proximity to major residential zones. The project aims to transform the neighborhood and provide a long-awaited home for local football clubs “Chernomorets 1919” and “Neftochimik.”
