Burgas: Mayor Presents Awards to European Kudo Competitors

The Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, presented awards to the young athletes from the city who distinguished themselves with medals at the European Kudo Championship, hosted by the seaside city. The awarding ceremony took place in the presence of the Deputy Mayor for Tourism and Sport, Manol Todorov, and the Head of the “Sport“ Department, Veselina Devedzhieva, who joined in celebrating the successes of the young athletes.

The atmosphere in the hall was filled with enthusiasm, as the young champions enjoyed the attention and congratulations of the officials. Obviously, the event was important for the city, which was evident from the broad interest of the media and the relatives of the competitors.

Burgas was represented by two sports clubs at the European Championship. SK “Bushido - Burgas“, under the guidance of coach Kalin Stoyanov, and SK “Kudo - Burgas“, led by Antoine Parchev, sent their best competitors to the competition.

During the meeting, the coaches extended special thanks to the Municipality of Burgas on behalf of the international Kudo federations. The gratitude was related to the excellent organization of the European Championship, held in 2025.

Mayor Dimitar Nikolov addressed strong words to the young athletes. "It is with great joy and pride that I congratulate you on your outstanding successes and prize places won during the European Kudo Championship, which took place in Burgas. Your achievements are proof of the strength of hard work, discipline and the will to win. Kudo is a sport that requires not only physical preparation, but also moral resilience, respect and honor – values that you worthily uphold and represent. With your successes, you not only glorify yourselves, but also elevate the name of our city, inspiring young people to believe in themselves and follow the path of sports. I express my sincere gratitude to your coaches for their dedication and professionalism, as well as to the parents for their support and trust. I wish you many more successes, health, motivation and never stop striving for the top. Burgas is proud of you!", said the mayor.
