A free two-day course for beginner drone pilots will run in Burgas on 13 and 14 October. It takes place at DIGIHUB in Central Park, the Regional Information Centre in Burgas said.
The organisers are the European Digital Innovation Hub for the South-East Region (DIGIHUB) and GDR Systems. The course is hands-on and at basic level.
DIGIHUB clients do not pay to take part, and signing up as a client is also free.
The theory part lasts 7 teaching hours. It covers EU drone rules, how drones and their software work, safe operation and human factors in flying.
Flights with an instructor take 6 to 8 hours. Participants will practise pre-flight preparation, take-off, basic manoeuvres, flying a route and filming a site. They will also train for loss of signal and simulated emergencies, and at the end they will land and review the flight.
