On July 1, 2025, Bulgaria officially took over the chairmanship of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) from Albania, which it will retain until July 1, 2026. This is the fourth time our country has led this regional format, demonstrating a consistent commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, European integration, and sustainable development in Southeast Europe.

The Bulgarian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Shekerletsova, participated in the final meeting of the Foreign Ministers within the framework of the Albanian presidency. Under the motto "Compass towards Stability, Security and Sustainability", the Bulgarian presidency will focus on key priorities such as connectivity, energy security, economic resilience, and investment in human capital, with a vision for a more connected, green, and prosperous region.
