Bulgaria Air will fly the Sofia-Burgas route all through the 2026/2027 winter season, with the first flight under the new schedule set for October 25.

Planes between the two cities will fly three times a week:

  • Tuesday;
  • Thursday;
  • Sunday.

Airbus A220-100 jets will operate the route - the newest planes in the national carrier's fleet. Tickets are already on sale, with economy fares starting at 78 euros one way.

In May 2027, Bulgaria Air will add more flights on the Sofia-Burgas-Sofia route. From May 2 to 19, the airline will run up to two flights a day so visitors to Bulgaria can reach Burgas more easily for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

With the winter flights and the extra ones in May, Bulgaria Air is making sure there's a steady link between the capital and the coastal city - both because more people are expected to head to Burgas for Eurovision 2027 and in the months that follow.
