Asen Vasilev from "We Continue the Change" delivered a message to the General Assembly. He spoke about the long road ahead for Bulgaria and the fight against corruption, emphasizing the importance of justice and integrity, concluding with confidence in the future.

The chairman of "We Continue the Change" Asen Vasilev sent a categorical message to the General Assembly of the party, which is taking place today and tomorrow. The assembly aims to elect new governing bodies, adopt a political platform, and discuss changes to the statute. In his speech, Vasilev emphasized the unwavering determination of the party to achieve specific goals.

"What I can promise you is that we will not give up until we see a rich, just Bulgaria, in which we are proud of our past, happy in our present, and peaceful for our future," said Vasilev. He stressed that there is a long way to go before Bulgaria achieves this vision.

According to Vasilev, the challenges facing the party are enormous. "It's not a fight, it's a war and it will be very long, because the enemy is very well entrenched," he noted. Vasilev gave specific examples of the fight against established practices, which, according to him, hinder the country's development. He described the challenges facing a reformist policy, facing the interests of individuals who earn billions annually. As an example, he pointed to the need for border control, a change in the way health facilities are financed, and the fight against corruption. According to Vasilev, these measures will take decades to be successfully implemented.

Speaking of the past, Vasilev remembered the energy and enthusiasm with which the party started in 2021. He recalled the key decision to form a cabinet, despite the difficulties and lack of support at the initial stage. "We said that we cannot leave Bulgaria without a government at this moment," Vasilev stressed. He stressed that there is a long way to go before Bulgaria achieves this vision. Vasilev added that at that time the party had no one to support it, nor even its own organization.

Vasilev recalled his prophecy that working in politics would wear him and Kiril out. "After three years, Kiril and I will be worn out because when you are on the cutting edge, all the blows fall on you," he predicted, referring to the attacks to which the party will be subjected. Vasilev emphasized that the goal is to remove "We Continue the Change" from the political scene.

In addition, the leader of "We Continue the Change" drew attention to the current political situation. He emphasized the contrast between the lack of funds for young doctors and the large sums allocated for other purposes. "At the moment, it can be seen how they say that there is no money for young doctors, but there are 9 billion for piggy banks," Vasilev noted. He stressed the need for a fairer distribution of funds and assured that no one in Bulgaria should be afraid.

Vasilev also touched on the party's participation in the coalition government with Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov. According to him, the decision was difficult, but necessary for achieving two key goals: Schengen and the Eurozone. The two goals have been achieved. He added that they could have stayed in the status quo, but refused. Vasilev stressed that this led to a number of negative consequences for the party, but it was necessary to preserve the integrity of the party.

Finally, Vasilev expressed his gratitude to the voters and stressed that the party is stronger than ever.

Finally, Vasilev also touched on current political topics, critically addressing the actions of the current government. He emphasized that instead of seeking solutions to the country's problems, some politicians focused on personal gain. Vasilev also touched on the issue of taxes, emphasizing that they should be used for the benefit of citizens, not for personal gain.
