Vlado Nikolov in Burgas: Meeting with the Volleyball Legend

One of Bulgaria's most significant volleyball champions, Vlado Nikolov, is preparing to meet the Burgas audience. The event is scheduled for November 23rd, at 13:00, at the Culture House NHK in Burgas.

The volleyball legend is expected to share his impressive path to success. The audience will have the opportunity to hear about victories and defeats, about the strict discipline and inspiration that drove his career. It is also planned to discuss methods for raising real champions.

During the meeting, especially for the Burgas audience, Vlado Nikolov will also present his autobiographical book "Visoko".

The book "Visoko" promises to offer readers a deep insight into the life of the champion. It tells the story of the path to the top, which, according to the author, is filled with hard work and perseverance.

Vladimir Nikolov is a volleyball champion of Bulgaria, Italy, and France, a gold medalist from the Champions League in 2005. He can also boast bronze medals from the World Championship in 2006 and the European Championship in 2009. In 2010, he was declared the No. 1 opposite in the world. In addition, he is a long-time captain of the national team and currently the president of VC "Levski". Vladimir Nikolov presents himself not only as an athlete but also as a husband, father, and leader. The book promises to be a candid story, a personal look at the past, and an inspiring testament for the future.

In the book, Nikolov shares: "I wanted to do it. I wanted to get there, on top, first. And I got there before everyone else, even though for years few saw in me the speck of hope. And so I continued. All my life. I was gasping for breath, I got tired, I bent from exhaustion, I didn't sleep, I suffered injustices, but I didn't give up, I proved myself. I was always like that - even when they didn't notice me, even when they ignored me, even when I played the worst, I believed that I would reach the high again and again. And I did not betray myself. I am still like that now."

After many years spent in a sports career, filled with challenges and trials, Nikolov declares: "I want one thing: "Others to see my back!". Not from self-love, but from the desire to win, to be on top, on high, to be an example, and if I can, to inspire".

Violeta Tsvetkova, journalist and co-author of "Visoko", shares about working on the book: "From the day Vlado felt that there was meaning, he dedicated himself to his book. He listened carefully to my questions and pulled from his memory memories of people and events, often causing laughter, joy and pride, but also tears and pain. At each meeting, like a puzzle, he assembled his own image - genuine, with his qualities and shortcomings; spontaneous, seemingly withdrawn and gloomy (he says it himself), but at the same time a sensitive man, in love with his girl, with their four children and with the game of volleyball..."
