On June 13 at the Cultural Center of the National Palace of Culture in Burgas, a concert of the outstanding Bulgarian musicians Lyudmil Angelov and Rumen Tsvetkov will take place. The two will present works by Ludwig van Beethoven, including the Sonata for Cello and Piano in A major, Op. 69 (arranged for viola by Rumen Tsvetkov), Nocturne for Viola and Piano in D major, Op. 42 (arranged by William Primrose) and Violin Sonata No. 10 in G major, Op. 96 (arranged for viola by Rumen Tsvetkov).
Lyudmil Angelov was born in Varna and graduated from the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music. He is the recipient of awards from prestigious international competitions and has given recitals, chamber concerts and solo performances with renowned orchestras around the world. He has recorded for many well-known labels and is recognized as one of the great contemporary interpreters of Chopin.
Rumen Tsvetkov made his solo debut at the age of eight and has since performed in nearly forty countries on four continents. As a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, he has appeared on prestigious stages in Europe, the USA, Canada and Mexico. Tsvetkov is the founder of the MurciArt Music Festival in Spain and a founding member of the Mediterranean Soloists Orchestra in Andalusia.
Tickets for the concert of Lyudmil Angelov and Rumen Tsvetkov in Burgas are on sale through the Eventim network and at the "Clock" box office. The price is 30 leva, and for students and pensioners - 15 leva. The front row balcony costs 40 leva. The event will support Burgas' candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2032.
