On June 2nd at 8:00 PM, the Burgas Summer Theater will host the impressive musical "Ghost" by the State Opera Varna. The director of the production is Srebrina Sokolova, and the conductor is Maestro Stratsimir Pavlov. The musical "Ghost" is based on the Hollywood film of the same name with Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze, and Whoopi Goldberg in the leading roles, and had its premiere in Manchester in 2011, after which it took over the stages of the West End and Broadway.
The plot tells the story of the lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked one night on their way home, and Sam dies, but remains trapped between this and the other world. Molly is in danger, and Sam cannot leave her alone. The medium Oda Mae Brown helps him connect with his beloved and warn her that the people around her are not what they seem. Addressing themes of good and evil, love that conquers even death, hope and light, the musical transports the audience to the worlds of people and spirits with beautiful music, gripping acting, and a plot that combines romance, mystery, and thriller. Communication with spirits also brings humor to the story.
Director Srebrina Sokolova has assembled a young, but experienced and very enthusiastic team of singers and actors. Conductor-director Stratsimir Pavlov brings his personal touch to the musical scores, and choreographer Nadya Dimokova makes people and spirits dance on stage in a special way. The scenography is the work of Ikar award-winner Petko Tanchev.
In the role of Sam Wheat, we will see the Burgasian Kaloyan Nikolov, and the energetic and mystical spiritual medium Oda Mae Brown will be played by the incomparable Milica Gladnishka. Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the Clocktower box office or online on the Grabo networks. For questions, group organization, or reservations, you can call 0988810399.
