Valya Balkanska and a large-scale spectacle in Burgas: "Bulgaria – Country of Wonders"

The legendary Valya Balkanska will be a special guest at the large-scale spectacle „Bulgaria – Country of Wonders. Spirit and Faith“, which will take place on May 4th from 18:00 at the NHK Cultural Center Burgas.

The event is dedicated to the rich cultural and historical heritage of Burgas and the South Black Sea coast and is part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the national initiative „The Wonder of Bulgaria“ by newspaper "Standard".

Star performers on stage

The cosmic voice of Bulgaria will take the stage along with other beloved performers and musicians:

• Mimi Nikolova, who will sing in a duet with Tsetso Elvisa;
• Virtuoso pianists Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatov;
• The „Five Seasons“ formation;
• The „Sea Sandgrains“ vocal group;
• The „Erkechko Nasledstvo“ folklore formation.

The spectacle promises an emotional journey through the centuries, telling the story of the strength of the Bulgarian spirit, history, and faith through music, traditions, and cultural memory.

Presentation of the &bdquely;Wonder of Bulgaria“ awards

The culmination of the evening will be the ceremony for presenting the annual awards, which recognize the most significant achievements in the field of cultural heritage. The awards will be presented in the following categories:

• Archaeological discovery;
• Cultural and historical attraction;
• Cultural and historical destination;
• Heritage (for museums, libraries, and community centers);
• Traditions (for preserved customs and festivals in the region).

The ceremony-spectacle is a special gift to Burgas and the city's guests from the national campaign, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The event is organized by the "Cultural Heritage" Society – the Bulgarian representative of the influential European organization Europa Nostra.
