Handball festival in "Meden Rudnik"
On June 20, the city of Burgas will become an arena for exciting sports emotions with the holding of the XXXI traditional children's handball tournament "BURGAS CUP V - Dimitar Gurbalov". The "Nikola Stanchev" sports hall in the "Meden Rudnik" complex will welcome young talents from the country and abroad, united by their love for the game.
Participants and group stage
Six teams will participate in this year's edition, competing in two groups:
- Group A: CSM - București (Romania), "Lokomotiv" Gorna Oryahovitsa, and "Fregata"
- Group B: "Lokomotiv" Vidin, "Trud", and ASTI 91
The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Dimitar Gurbalov and aims to encourage the development of youth handball, friendship, and international sports exchange.
Tournament program
The matches are scheduled to begin at 09:00 AM. The program includes intense matches in the group stage, followed by knockout rounds to determine the final rankings. The final will determine the overall winner, and the official closing ceremony of the tournament is scheduled for 4:30 PM. The organizers invite all sports fans and parents to support the young athletes in this celebration of sportsmanship and emotion.
