World Tourism Day: Burgas Opens St. Anastasia Island and Chengele Skele

World Tourism Day will be celebrated in Burgas again this year on September 27th. Burgas Municipality, through the municipal enterprise "Tourism_, is participating in the initiative, offering free access to two of the most popular tourist sites in the region: St. Anastasia Island and the "Chengene Skele" cultural and tourist complex.

The entire day, Saturday, September 27th, the museum exposition on St. Anastasia Island will be open to everyone wishing to experience the history of this charming place in Burgas Bay. The island, known for its rich history and mystical atmosphere, attracts thousands of tourists throughout the year. The journey to it begins from Magaziya 1, and it is necessary to make a reservation in advance for travel with the boats "Burgas" and "Anastasia". A standard travel ticket costs 18 leva. We imagine the bustling port, with many tourists eagerly awaiting the trip to the iconic island.

The fishing village of Chengene Skele and its neighboring tourist complex enjoy immense popularity among Bulgarian and foreign visitors. The exhibition houses "Tayfa", "Buruntia", and "Evxinski Pont", located in the complex, offer a fascinating journey through the history of the Black Sea, revealing the rich fishing life and traditions of the sea dwellers. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past, viewing the exhibits that tell picturesque stories about life on the coast.

On September 27th, from 11:00 to 17:00, the gates of "Chengene Skele" will be open to all, immersing them in an exciting journey through the centuries – from antiquity to the present day.
