The Plovdiv Drama Theatre became the host of the 19th annual concert organized by the Regional Center for Support of the Inclusive Education Process - Plovdiv. Over 100 children with special needs and 50 of their friends from Plovdiv schools took the stage to showcase their talents in front of a full house.
The concert began with a performance by medalists from "Special Olympics - The Indomitables", dressed in T-shirts in the colors of the Bulgarian flag. For two hours, the children played various instruments, danced, presented dramatizations and comic scenes, painted, and had fun under the applause of the audience, which included their families.
The event was held under the patronage of the Plovdiv Regional Governor, Prof. Hristina Yancheva, and with the blessing of the Plovdiv Eparchy. The children and teachers received a special greeting from the Minister of Education and Science, Krasimir Valchev, who emphasized that the event is proof of good work with children and parents and congratulated the teachers and specialists who make efforts to support the personal development of the children.
The Center for Support of the Inclusive Education Process in Plovdiv helps over 800 children with various specific learning difficulties, providing them with individualized assistance and development opportunities. The Center has 11 modern equipped therapeutic offices and offers additional activities such as a theater troupe, a field hockey team, fitness, and folk dances.
"Today's celebration is proof that every child has a place on the big stage of life. We need to learn from these little heroes of ours and rejoice in their victories," said Regional Governor Prof. Yancheva at the opening.
