On the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day – March 3rd, the Burgas audience will have the opportunity to watch the stage performance "Epic of the Forgotten" based on Ivan Vazov at the NHK Cultural Center. The performance begins at 7:00 PM. Tickets, which have a zero value but guarantee seats, are available at the box office in the NHK Cultural Center.

The performance is a stage adaptation of one of the most significant works in Bulgarian literature and is dedicated to the heroes whom history should not forget. The dramaturgical text is by Emil Bonev, the direction is by Bogdan Petkanin, the scenography is by Milen Borichev, the costumes are by Janeta Ivanova, and the music is by Georgi Garchov.

The actors Nikola Parashkevov, Zlatko Angelov, Tihomir Blagoev, Ivan Grigorov, Stefan Ivanov, Viktor Mladenov, Yana Nikolova, Nikol Karabinova, Zornitsa Konstantinova, Asen Lozanov, and Simona Bogdanova participate in the performance.

The stage version of "Epic of the Forgotten" transforms Vazov's poetry into a highly emotional theatrical experience, in which the images of Benkovski, Kocho, the Zhekov Brothers, Kableshkov, Paisius, the Miladinov Brothers, Hadji Dimitar, Volov, Karadzha, and the Defenders of Shipka come alive as symbols of self-sacrifice, morality, and national dignity.

With a contemporary stage language, an impressive visual environment, and strong acting, the performance raises questions about memory, national identity, and the responsibility of each generation to the past. "Epic of the Forgotten" is not just a historical reconstruction, but an emotional appeal to remember, honor, and be worthy heirs of those who dedicated their lives to Bulgaria.

The project was implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture.
