After attracting viewers with intelligent humor and strong messages, director Ivaylo Penchev's comedy "Birthday" is again on the big screen, specifically for viewers in Burgas. On February 21st at 6:00 PM at the NHK Cultural Center, viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves again in the story of the unusual meeting between Vasil and Grandma Genevieve. Tickets for the screening are on sale at the "Clock" box office.

At the heart of the storyline are the characters Vasil (Vasil Banov), an experienced thief who has just been released from prison, and Grandma Genevieve (Meglena Karalambova), a lonely, elderly woman who has lost faith in life. However, fate brings the two characters together on Grandma Genevieve's birthday, and they reach an agreement that is about to fundamentally change the lives not only of the two of them, but also of Genevieve's neighbors - the lonely mother Bilyana (Milena Avramova) and her daughter Raya (Eleonora Sabeva). However, Vasil's popularity in the criminal world is great, and the three friends Sasho, Lubo, and Krasi (Svezhen Mladenov, Stefan Denolyubov, and Stanimir Gumov) find him to ask for help in carrying out their grandiose robbery plan. Initially, their idea seems like an ordinary criminal act, but it turns out to be one of the most important battles in their lives. The life choices and ordeals they face involve them in a series of comic situations. And the power of the spirit and their common goal melt the differences between them and change them forever.

The story of "Birthday" touches on important universal themes such as family, love, friendship, forgiveness, and the courage to stand up against the vulgarity and soullessness of society. Behind the witty dialogue and seemingly funny situations, built on intelligent humor, lies a deep reflection on the good in man and the power of a common cause.

As part of the magnificent cast, we will also see Nikolay Gunderov, Boryana Puncheva, Lyuben Chatalov, Dilyana Popova, Kitodar Todorov, Konstantin Ikonomov, Filip Avramov, and Sofia Bobcheva.
