"Rigoletto" on the stage of the Burgas Opera: Verdi's eternal drama comes to life on June 10

Verdi's Classic in Burgas

On June 10 at 7:00 PM, the stage of the State Opera – Burgas will be captured by the immortal opera "Rigoletto". Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, the audience will immerse themselves in a story of treachery, temptation, and tragic fate.

"Rigoletto" is the opera that Verdi himself would have saved if he had to choose only one.

Star Cast

• Marjan Jovanoski as Rigoletto – a captivating interpretation of the character of the unfortunate jester.
• Ilina Mihaylova as Gilda – gentle, ethereal, and vocally impressive.
• Reinaldo Droz as the Duke – a temperamental tenor with a fiery southern energy.

The musical interpretation is entrusted to Italian maestro Cesare Della Sciucca, who will lead the orchestra and choir in uncovering the deep psychologism within Verdi's score. The opera is performed in Italian with subtitles in Bulgarian.
