The Student Committee of Burgas Municipality (UKOB) is launching the first edition of the youth poetry competition "Burgas Inspires".
This initiative represents a significant opportunity for young talents from the city to express their creativity and their deep emotional connection with Burgas, announced as a candidate for European Capital of Culture in 2032.
Against the backdrop of the vibrant city, the competition invites participants to immerse themselves in the world of poetry, inspired by quotes from favorite Burgas poets. It is important to note that the quote itself should not be present in the poem, but only indicated in the application form.
The competition is open to two age categories, providing a platform for young poets aged 14 to 18 and 19 to 30. The deadline for registration is set for November 1st. Those wishing to participate in the competition can do so by filling out a form, accessible at the following link .
The evaluation of the works will be carried out anonymously by a jury composed of prominent names in the literary world of Burgas - established poets, literary figures and representatives of the organizers.
The atmosphere is charged with anticipation for the culmination of the competition - a musical-poetic spectacle that will present the best poems. The event is planned for December 2nd at 19:00 in Hall 2 of the "Flora" Exhibition Center.
