Sunday Horo in Burgas: The Tradition Returns to a New Square

Burgas will once again celebrate the revival of one of the city's most beloved summer traditions! The Sunday Horo is back, promising another unforgettable opportunity for all lovers of Bulgarian folklore to gather in the rhythm of the music. This year, the event will be held at a new location - "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" square, providing a fresh backdrop for the traditional folk celebration.

This Sunday, starting at 12:00, the square will transform into a stage for dance and shared emotions. As usual, the initiative is expected to attract between 200 and 300 dancers and enthusiasts, united by their love for Bulgarian horo and folk music. The summer air will vibrate with steps and energy, creating a unique atmosphere of unity.

The leader of the horo this Sunday will be the professional dancer, choreographer and leader of the PFA "Strandja" - Mario Egov. His presence guarantees both high quality of dance and a charge of enthusiasm that will infect everyone present.

"Sunday Horo" is for everyone, regardless of dance experience. Whether you're a beginner, advanced, or just love folklore, there's no stage, no formalities - just a circle of people, music and general movement, says Mario Egov.

The initiative is organized by Burgas Municipality, whose main goal is to preserve the living Bulgarian tradition, to unite generations and to bring joy through movement and music.
