MMC-Burgas 3 km Run: Sporting Event for Young People

Hundreds of young people are expected to participate in the second edition of the sports event "MMC-Burgas 3 km Run". The event, which is organized this year by the International Youth Center-Burgas, in partnership with Burgas State University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov", promises to bring together sports enthusiasts again.

The running competition will be held on October 11 (Saturday) at the barrier of the Saltworks. The place is already familiar to the participants from the previous year, and the atmosphere promises to be filled with enthusiasm. The start is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., and registration will begin early in the morning – at 08:30 a.m. The organizers remind that only those who are between 15 and 29 years old and do not engage in professional sports are eligible to participate.

At the event site, before the start itself, there will also be a warm-up. It will be led by Dobrin Perev, a lecturer in the department of "Physical Education and Sports" at BSU. This will help the participants to prepare physically for the challenge.

The organizers have prepared prizes for the best. For the first three in the categories "boys" and "girls" there will be prizes provided by MMC-Burgas, BSU, Regional Library "Peyo Yavorov" and the store "Intersport".

In addition, all participants will receive free water. This initiative continues the tradition from last year, when nearly 300 young enthusiasts participated in the first edition of the run in 2024. The organizers expect a similar number of participants this year, with the inclusion of many foreign students planned.

The main goal of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among young people in Burgas. The event is a wonderful opportunity for young people to have fun, exercise and meet peers with similar interests.
