On October 25, 2025, Saturday, Burgas will become the focus of attention for young mathematicians. The city will host the second edition of the Rotarian Mathematical Celebrations, an event that combines the precision of mathematics with the spirit of friendly competition.

Last year, at its first edition, the celebrations attracted over 400 students from first to twelfth grade. The enthusiasm, however, does not wane – on the contrary, it grows. For the upcoming edition in 2025, the organizers report a significantly increased interest. 747 children from first to eighth grade are expected to measure their strength in this challenging mathematical competition.

The sun will barely begin to illuminate the city when on Saturday morning, precisely at 9:20 a.m., at the Specialized High School of Mathematics "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov", the official start of the celebrations will be given. The participants will be welcomed by Plamen Tsvetkov, who will address the gathered audience as the Governor of Rotary in Bulgaria.

This inspiring initiative is organized by the Rotary Club Burgas, with partnerships including Burgas Municipality, Specialized High School of Mathematics "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov" – Burgas and District 2482 of Rotary International – Bulgaria.

After passing through the seaside city, the mathematical celebrations will continue their tour of the country, opening their doors in Gabrovo, Svishtov, Plovdiv and Kardzhali. The goal is clear: to create a national platform that provides an opportunity for young talents in the field of exact sciences to demonstrate their potential.

The responsibility for the program part is assigned to Dinko Radnev, and Gergana Georgieva heads the organizing committee.

The Rotarian Mathematical Celebrations are establishing themselves as a significant educational initiative, a place where mathematics meets enthusiasm, friendship and the future leaders of Bulgaria.
