Maria Kasimova-Moisset will present her new novel "Eye" in Burgas on October 10 at 5 p.m. at the Grand Hotel and Spa Primorets, organizers of the Port Prim Art Fest say. The author is coming to Burgas specially to meet readers.

The book came out on September 4. It's a historical novel and family saga about three generations of women, and about memory, family, buried secrets and love. Miriam Haalim, Seva and Miha are all tied to one man — a son to one, a husband to another, a father to the third.

The characters move between Sofia, Burgas and Istanbul, and the story spans from World War Two through communism, the "Revival Process" and the transition years after 1989. Woven into it is also the true story of how an "Eye" was saved. Burgas itself is one of the book's characters.

Kasimova-Moisset has also written "Balkan Rhapsody", "Notes from Chateau Lacrotte" and "Notes from Chateau Lacrotte: Zlokuchane Residence".

The launch is part of the ninth Port Prim Art Fest, Burgas's arts festival. The Grand Hotel and Spa Primorets organized the festival, which runs with support from Burgas council and backs the city's bid to become European Capital of Culture.

There will be books, autographs and a chance to talk with the author. Entry is free while seats last.
