Nearly 2000 people have already registered to participate in the Burgas Marathon 2025, which is a clear sign of the growing popularity of the event. The race, scheduled for November 9th, is expected to attract runners from all over the country, becoming one of the most attractive sporting challenges. The organizers, Burgas Municipality and the "Sports in Leisure Time" Association, outlined details about the upcoming edition to journalists during a working meeting.
Last year, the sea near Burgas was filled with over 1000 runners who tested their strength on the tracks. This year, building on the success, the organizers offer an even more diverse palette of distances. In addition to the traditional 10 km and half marathon (21 km), runners will be able to choose between two new challenges. The five-kilometer distance is ideal for beginners and children, while the most resilient will be able to face the full marathon of 42.195 km. The children's run on the shortest distance retains its place in the program, ensuring a celebration for all ages.
The atmosphere in Burgas promises to be charged with energy. The sun is reflected in the sea, and the wind carries within it a premonition of great achievements. Sports enthusiasts who wish to participate in one of the most significant sporting events in the calendar can register on the burgasmarathon.bg platform. The course, which will lead the competitors through the most beautiful spots of the seaside town, is developed based on last year's, with a length of 10.5 kilometers. The organizers have taken into account the feedback from the participants and have made improvements to avoid the climb towards the Sea Casino - part of the course, which many of the runners described as the most challenging. The new course is designed with minimal climbs, passing through some of the most emblematic locations in the city. The start and finish will be on "Aleksandrovska" - in the very heart of Burgas, promising a unique atmosphere and convenience for both the competitors and the public.
