Literary Festival "With a Book on the Beach" - a five-day journey into the world of Bulgarian literature

The prestigious literary forum "With a Book on the Beach" will be held from August 13-17, 2025, at the capital's Expo Center "Flora". The event promises a five-day immersion in the world of contemporary Bulgarian literature with the participation of over 40 national publishing houses.

The organizers have prepared an extremely diverse program that will cover various genres and age groups. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the latest literary titles, participate in meetings with established and young authors, attend poetry readings and musical performances.

The festival will be accessible daily from 10:00 to 20:00, offering specially designated trade stands and open stages around the Expo Center "Flora". Admission to all events is free.

The program includes a rich set of initiatives, distributed by days:

On August 13 (Wednesday), the focus will be on presenting specialized publications such as the Black Sea Encyclopedia, children's books, and novels. A special highlight will be the meeting with author Jack Lance and the presentation of his novel "Night Eyes".

August 14 (Thursday) will be dedicated primarily to children's literature with a festival organized by poet Dr. Gina Dundova-Pancheva. Books such as "Mary and the Leprechaun" and the anthology "The Blue Shield" will be presented.

Friday, August 15, will offer diverse literary formats - from educational games to presenting translated titles from various European countries. The highlight will be the premiere of the book "Bulgarian Work. Time Coordination" by Stefan Minchev.

The Saturday program on August 16 will include creative workshops for children, poetry premieres, and a special event dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov's birth.

The last day of the festival - August 17 (Sunday) - will close the event with a presentation of children's literature, poetry meetings, and the premiere of the book "The Guardians" by Ventsislava Velikova.
