On Monday, October 27th, the NHK Cultural Center will open its doors for an unforgettable theatrical experience, promising to immerse viewers in the deep waters of human emotion. From 7:00 PM, fans of the theatrical arts will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance based on Emiliyan Stanev's famous novella "The Peach Thief", presented by the Konstantin Kisimov Musical and Drama Theatre from the city of Veliko Tarnovo.

The special participation of Veselin Kalanovski and Mariela Topalova will add an extra dose of magnetism to the production. The dramatization and direction are the work of Boyko Iliev, and the scenography and costumes are entrusted to Nikol Trendafilova.

Iconic characters will come to life in the main roles, recreated by exceptional actors. Veselin Kalanovski, Mariela Topalova, Boris Atanasov, Detelin Kandev, Stefka Zlatkova, and Stefan Metodiev will embody the heroes of this complex and multi-layered story.

The basis of the performance is Emiliyan Stanev's exceptional novella "The Peach Thief", known for its psychological insight, poeticism, and depth. The audience will meet the characters from this tragic love story - Elisaveta, Ivo Obretenovich, the Colonel, the Teacher, the Orderly, and the Mother - who will reveal to them the world of love, which, though secret, appears to be the only force capable of giving meaning to suffering, of reviving and elevating the human spirit.

Emiliyan Stanev reminds us: "There is nothing more grievous than the repetition of the past".

Two eras, separated by decades, but united by the pains of war, epidemics, drought, and misery, will alternate on stage.

In a world steeped in cruelty, madness, and disease, a beautiful, timeless, burning love will be born. Fruitful of the natural striving for happiness and freedom, for making sense of the absurd everyday life, it will be killed amidst the chaos of war and epidemics at a time when human kindness seems to have been erased from the face of the earth.

The organizer of the event is the Art Melpomene Cultural Organization, which invites all theater lovers to become part of this unforgettable experience.

Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the Chasovnika box office and on the specified website.
