The prestigious National Gathering of Folk Art in Koprivshtitsa reaches its culmination with a large-scale one-hour closing concert, which will be held today on the main stage. The thirteenth consecutive edition of the forum, which started on August 8, brings together folklore ensembles from different Bulgarian regions.

Performers from Gabrovo and Targovishte will be presented on the second stage, while the fourth stage will be dedicated to groups from Smolyan. Participants from Kyustendil and Kardzhali will perform on the fifth stage, and Sofia ensembles will occupy the sixth stage.

The official closing will be performed by the Chairman of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova, who will deliver a solemn speech. The event is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.

The main organizers of the large-scale folklore forum are the Ministry of Culture, Koprivshtitsa Municipality, the Regional Administration of Sofia Region, and the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with the Ethnographic Museum at BAS.
