On October 25th, precisely at 6:30 PM, an event promising to captivate the senses of music lovers will take place at the "Morsko Kazino" Cultural Center in the city of Burgas. The evening's program includes works that will combine the elegance of piano classics and the warm sound of chamber music.
The young pianist Katerina Radeva will take the stage, partnering with the "Viva" - Burgas string quartet. The stage, prepared for the performance, is already awaiting its guests.
The program that will be performed includes two masterpieces, promising an evening of high musical level. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy Scherzo No. 3 by Frederic Chopin and Piano Concerto No. 12 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. These works reflect both the drama and inner strength of Romanticism, as well as the elegant lightness of Viennese Classicism.
The concert is a special event that not only offers an exceptional repertoire, but also gives a stage to one of the most promising young names in Bulgarian classical music.
Chopin's Scherzo No. 3, chosen for performance, is a work with dramatic charge, saturated with emotional contrasts and virtuoso technique, which is a real challenge for every pianist. On the other hand, Piano Concerto No. 12 by Mozart offers a refined balance between the solo and orchestral (in this case chamber) parts. In an adapted form for string quartet, this classical work sounds intimate, but also preserves its energy and grace.
The partnership with the "Viva" quartet promises a unified musical breath and rich sound, which will turn the evening into a celebration for classical music lovers.
Katerina Radeva is a talented pianist who is currently studying at the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in the piano class of Assist. Prof. Dr. Viktoria Vasilenko. Her musical journey began at the National Music School "Lyubomir Pipkov", where she studied under the guidance of Mrs. Milena Pavlova.
From her early years, Katerina demonstrated exceptional qualities – both technical mastery and deep musical sensitivity. This has brought her recognition both in Bulgaria and abroad. She is a laureate of a number of prestigious competitions, with her first international awards coming as early as 2015 in Pernik and Sofia. A year later, she won top places in Plovdiv, Pomorie and even in New York, where she received second place in the "American Prot_eacute_g_eacute" competition. This was followed by new successes – in Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Bitola, Spoleto (Italy), Turkey, and in the last two years she has been awarded new distinctions at competitions in Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo. Especially impressive is her performance of a work by Pancho Vladigerov, for which she received a special award – a testament to her ability to interpret both the classical and Bulgarian musical repertoire with depth and character.
Katerina is able to convey the nuances of each work, exploring the inner world of the composers and unfolding it before the listener with emotion and integrity to the style. That is why she is quickly establishing herself as one of the brightest young personalities on the contemporary Bulgarian classical scene. The hall is awaiting its guests, who will be part of a musical experience.
