A creative workshop with fourth-grade students from the "Vasil Aprilov" Primary School in Burgas has been successfully completed. The theme of the event was "Community spaces in panel housing estates / Can we live better together?".
The workshop was opened by Maya Ruseva, Director of the "Strategic Development" Directorate, who emphasized the importance of young people's participation in the processes of creating a more sustainable and inclusive urban environment.
The workshop was led by arch. Desislava Stoyanova, with the support of arch. Ivan Peev and arch. Mikhail Mihov, who guided the participants through the process of working on and developing their ideas.
As part of a three-hour interactive program, participants engaged in discussions and practical tasks aimed at developing creativity, teamwork, and social sensitivity. They became acquainted with the principles of the New European Bauhaus and discussed how the urban environment can be more ecological, inclusive, and beautiful.
The program included:
- A presentation and discussion on the specific features of panel housing estates;
- Teamwork to create models of community spaces;
- Developing ideas for a balance between residential zones, green areas, and social activities.
In conclusion, each group presented its concept, demonstrating imagination and an understanding of the importance of coexistence and care for the common environment.
