Japan's K-1 will hold its first event in Burgas. The international fight night takes place on 12 December 2026 at the Mladost hall, with Bulgarian Fight Agency (BFA) as co-organiser.
The top name on the card is a well-known Bulgarian MMA fighter, who will compete under K-1 rules for the first time. Organisers have not said who he is, but promise to announce it soon.
Bulgarian kickboxers will face foreign opponents in international bouts. The card also includes opening MMA fights.
The Burgas show is part of the global "K-1 FIGHTING NETWORK" project, which takes the promotion outside Japan. K-1 was founded in 1993, and its past fighters include Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts and Semmy Schilt.
Bulgaria has made its mark on K-1 too: in 2024, Stoyan Koprivlenski won the title at the K-1 World MAX tournament.
Tickets are on sale through kupibileti.
