The distribution center of the international trading company JYSK in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Industrial Park is preparing for a large-scale expansion that will cost around 40 million euros. The information was revealed during a specially organized Open Day, which attracted over 50 potential job candidates.

Ventsislav Chavdarov, Logistics Director at the center, shared with journalists that the investment will be implemented entirely with the company's own funds. Previous investments in the facility already amount to an impressive 112 million euros, which demonstrates a serious commitment to the Bulgarian market.

The company is currently seeking new employees, with an emphasis on people without previous experience in logistics. Candidates are offered a comprehensive training program, including obtaining qualifications for operating specialized warehouse equipment. The only requirement is completed secondary education and sharing corporate values.

The introductory training lasts two weeks and includes familiarization with the company, its policies, and practical preparation. The evaluation approach is interesting - there are no formal exams, relying instead on assessing individual skills during the work process.

Currently, over 300 people work in the Distribution Center, with nearly 40 of them being women qualified to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. The total number of JYSK employees in Bulgaria exceeds 800 people, distributed across 57 locations.

Chavdarov also revealed some challenges facing the company - there is a certain shortage of personnel. Nevertheless, 77 percent of employees have over four years of experience, which shows a successful staff retention policy.

The growth in processed orders is indicative - this year they are about 25 percent more compared to last year. The forecast for next year is an additional 20 percent increase. The Distribution Center serves the markets of Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Turkey, and six franchise countries.

Technological renewal is among the company's priorities. Two warehouse facilities are fully automated, with minimal human intervention - goods are moved via conveyors, robots, and cranes. JYSK plans to continue investing in digitalization and robotization.

Employees' workday is organized in two shifts - morning (06:00-14:30) and afternoon (14:30-23:00), with three breaks. Each employee receives a digital task distribution, with special emphasis placed on safety.

The company is also open to the educational community - in recent years, the center has been accepting students from various schools in the Sofia, Bankya, and Bozhurishte areas.
