An intellectual forum reveals the depths of freedom and culture

On June 27, 2025 at 6:30 PM, the Writers' House in Burgas will be the epicenter of a large-scale intellectual meeting dedicated to the philosophical dimensions of freedom. The initiative by Publishing House KH represents the first experimental attempt at a live podcast broadcast, which has been functioning since the beginning of 2023.

The discussion will be led by Nikolay Kolev – an authoritative cultural journalist with a rich professional profile, who combines his work as a producer at BNT with teaching contemporary art at the New Bulgarian University.

Among the main participants are two exceptional intellectuals: Antoaneta Koleva, director of "Criticism and Humanism", an established translator and philosophical researcher, and Slavi Tomov – a writer and radio journalist known for organizing monthly literary discussions in Burgas.

The event format provides for an initial moderated conversation between experts, followed by an open discussion with the attending audience. All enthusiasts of books, innovative ideas, and contemporary cultural dynamics are invited.

The initiative is implemented with the support of the National Culture Fund and promises to offer an in-depth look at the boundaries between philosophy, literature, center and periphery.
