From October 7th to 11th, the city of Burgas will host the sixth edition of the Festival of Young Artists "Deep Blue Sea".
This cultural event, which has become a tradition for the city, will once again bring together talents and art lovers from different generations. The organizers of the festival are the National Academy of Arts and Burgas Municipality, and the event is realized with the assistance of DAS Marina Burgas Hotel. The idea for the festival is from Prof. Svetozar Benchev, director of the National Academy of Arts – Burgas Branch.
Excitement is palpable on the eve of the opening, which will take place on October 7th at 6:30 PM in the "Flora" Exhibition Center. I anticipate great interest, considering that the festival is establishing itself as a significant cultural event that transforms Burgas into a place for meetings of arts, ideas, and generations.
The festival will transform some of the emblematic locations of the city. Events will be held at the National Academy of Arts – Burgas branch – Magazia 1, the "Morsko Kazino" Cultural Center, and KTK "Chengene Skele", as well as at the Flora Burgas Exhibition Center and the "DAS Marina Burgas" Hotel.
At the heart of this year's edition is the interaction between young and already established artists. Participants will be students from the Academy, students from Burgas and regional schools, as well as guests from artistic circles. A diverse and inspiring program is expected, including creative plein airs, film nights, concerts, stage performances, and literary readings. The main goal is to encourage dialogue between generations in the field of art and to create new platforms for creative exchange, where ideas can meet and develop.
This project is a key component of the program in support of Burgas's candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032.
