The "Fantastic Burgas" festival returns with a rich program

For the second consecutive year, the seaside city is becoming a focal point for science fiction lovers. From June 25 to 27, the "Peyo Yavorov" Regional Library will host the second edition of the "Fantastic Burgas" festival.

This year's event is dedicated to the memory of the unforgettable writer and dreamer Lyuben Dilov Jr.

What to expect from the three-day forum?

  • Meetings with authors: An opportunity for direct dialogue with names such as Marin Troshanov, Blagoy D. Ivanov, Petar Stanimirov, Vasil Popov, and many others.
  • Creative workshops: Art workshops for illustration and comics, as well as the "Le Soleil" writers' workshop on the theme "Describe your magical Burgas".
  • Discussion panels: Interesting topics such as the Romantasy genre, "fantastic journalism", and the role of the male and female voice in literature.

Highlights of the program

The festival will begin with an official opening and memories of Lyuben Dilov Jr., presented by Mila Dilova and Kanina Chrysalis. The program also includes lectures on sacred fairy tales, the phenomenon of gamebooks, and Asian science fiction.
